Our latest Booking Intelligence data reflects the following for November 2023:
Booking volumes in November were on were down 5.6% compared to October, which is typical after school holidays. Booking revenues we down by only 2% compared to October.
YTD Booking volumes are down 5% compared to YTD 2022, and have recovered to reach 75% of the same period for 2019.
The average booking value in 2023 is still noticeably lower, with the YTD value 28.4% down compared to the same period YTD in 2022. Travellers have clearly spent less in 2023!
The graph below depicts booking volume trends each quarter for the past 5 years, and highlights the journey we are taking for tourism to recover. With just one month left of Q4 2023 it will require a strong month of bookings in order to equal or better the 2022 totals.
