Reminder: AirBnB No Longer Offering Email Alias Feature
As of 30 September AirBnB stopped their email alias feature for hosts to communicate with guests.
What does this mean for you?
All bookings coming through from AirBnB to ResBook via your channel manager do not have any guest email details, so all communications need to happen via AirBnB.
If you have any inquiries or need assistance, feel free to reach out to AirBnB directly, as they are best equipped to help you with any concerns or questions.

Our latest Booking Intelligence data reflects the following for September, see how your own data compares:
Booking volumes (down 9%) and revenues (down 10%) both declined in September compared to August.
YTD Booking volumes are similar to 2022 at only 2% less, and have recovered to reach 75% of the same period for 2019.
It's been a strong month for direct bookings, making up 37% of all bookings compared to YTD of 28%.
Of note, the average booking value in 2023 continues to decline with the YTD value 27.5% down compared to the same period in 2022, no doubt as a result of inflation, cost of living pressures, and uncertainty due to the election.
The graph below depicts booking volume trends each quarter for the past 5 years, and highlights the journey we are taking for tourism to recover. We hope to see a buoyant Q4 for 2023!
