What trends are we seeing from booking data?
ResBook booking intelligence data keeps us informed about current booking trends. Some of the key things to note right now are:
Overall bookings are actually down 14% year on year as Kiwi’s look to go overseas and our international visitors have yet to arrive in large numbers.
Direct bookings are very strong and preferable to booking via OTA’s, however this gap appears to be closing as international bookings start filtering in.
It’s imperative therefore, that you are on top of your direct digital marketing strategies and your website is engaging.
Would you want Afterpay available for ResBook?
We are keen to find out how much interest there is for Afterpay to be added as a form of payment option to ResBook so guests can use this system to pay for their bookings. It would be optional for any business to offer it.
Book Now, Pay Later
Guests can pay for their booking using the Afterpay "buy now pay later" system.
It's interest free for the customers and spreads payments over 6 weeks in 4 payments.
You would receive full payment for bookings on departure (less the Afterpay % transaction fee).
In case you missed the email we sent on 20 May, please be aware that some ResBook members have received a scam "Welcome to ResBook" email requesting credit card details with a link to a payment screen.
This is NOT from ResBook. DO NOT reply, DO NOT click on the link or provide any sensitive information to them.
ResBook will never ask you for credit card details in an email.
